Finally the first and final part of the “Seasonscycle Suite”, the four seasons Hostsonaten project, namely “Summereve”, dedicated to Summer.
This is the beginning of it all – the birth – and here all the main melodies of the cycle are introduced.

This record is close to “Springsong”, containing positive, sparkling moments, being influenced by ethnic and folk music. At the same time it is also somehow reminiscent of “Winterthrough”, but for sure “Summereve” is is the most progressive symphonic record of the seasons cycle, as the contribution of a real string quartet make the sound even more majestic and dreamlike.

“Summereve” is the absolute Hostsonaten masterpiece, and is THE symphonic prog record of 2011.
The complete four chapters of the concept are now available through AMS Records: “Springsong”, “Summereve”, “Autmunsymphony” and “Winterthrough”.

Nel 2011 esce finalmente la parte prima e finale della “Seasonscycle Suite”, ovvero il concept degli Hostsonaten dedicato alle quattro stagioni, si tratta di “Summereve”, dedicata all’estate.

È questo l’inizio di tutto, la nascita, e qui vengono esposte tutte le melodie principali che poi ritorneranno nelle quattro parti dell’opera.
Questo disco è molto vicino a “Springsong” perché ha momenti solari e positivi e molte parti influenzate dalla musica etnica e folk. Ma non mancano le similitudini con “Winterthrough”. Certamente “Summereve” è la parte più progressive e sinfonica di tutta la “Seasonscycle Suite”. Di fondamentale importanza in questo disco l’apporto di un quartetto d’archi che rende il suono ancora più maestoso e sognante.

“Summereve” è il capolavoro assoluto degli Hostsonaten che qui presentano IL disco di prog sinfonico del 2011. Tutto il ciclo delle Quattro Stagioni è ora disponibile su etichetta AMS: “Springsong”, “Summereve”, “Autmunsymphony” e “Winterthrough”.
